Eidos Annual Report 2023
It gives us great pride to release our first annual report. This year Eidos focused on growing a network of people dedicated to LGBTQ+ health. We supported innovators with research and evidence-based strategies for success. To all those who supported us this year, we extend our deepest gratitude. To all those who joined us as advisors, clients, or participants, let’s keep building a better world for LGBTQ+ health, together!

Prejudice and discrimination create health inequities within the LGBTQ+ community, place them in harm’s way, and strain and sever ties between families and friends when brave people come out to embrace their wholehearted selves. We at the Eidos LGBTQ+ Health Initiative at the University of Pennsylvania are committed to creating evidence-based health solutions that are available to LGBTQ+ people when they need them most.
We bring together social enterprise, education, research, and community resources to create real-world applications that will transform LGBTQ+ health. The success of these solutions will require your energy and talents. Wherever you are in your development, our services can add a more integrative, humanistic approach. I invite you to talk to us to explore opportunities for collaboration and partnership.
We look forward to working with you to reframe conversations happening around kitchen tables, classrooms, provider offices, community-based organizations, companies, and government programs.
Eidos Projects by Sector
Our first year at Eidos was all about cultivating connections and planting seeds for solutions. We were overwhelmed by the positive response from every sector that we set out to convene and collaborate with. Our team built impactful relationships within the Penn academic community, with budding LGBTQ+ healthcare startups and growing companies, and with media and thought leaders in healthcare and beyond.

How Can We Help?
Eidos initiates every conversation with potential partners with one question, “How can we help?”
Conversations ranged from finding expertise for programming to evaluation needs to securing clinical and research placements for Penn students. This approach has opened a window on community needs as well as created a pipeline for future development opportunities.
